Grill 582 @ Best Western Premier Dua Sentral, Kuala Lumpur

Situated on the second floor of the hotel, Grill 582 at BEST WESTERN PREMIER Dua Sentral serves the finest cuts of meat and the freshest seafood in an elegant fine dining ambience.  This month, they are running a promotion called "Savour the Treasures of the Sea and the Bounty of the Land" whereby they will be showcasing Australian lamb cutlets, and Tasmanian ocean trout and king prawns.

The restaurant interior is simple yet elegant, and I especially like the setting in the private room. They operate an open kitchen here, which allows guests to watch the chefs prepare the mouthwatering dishes. Grill 582 is helmed by the talented and passionate Chef Siti Arini Darsom.

This promotion is available daily from 1-30 September, whereby diners can enjoy a main course and a glass of wine for RM150++ per person. Restaurant manager, Iskandar helps us select our wines for the evening - I went for the Australian Coopers Crossing Chardonnay (keeping to the Australian theme) while Hubby went for the Argento Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon 2011.




Amuse bouche - Poached sea bass with mango salsa and chilli oil


I like the amuse bouche served to us, especially the appetizing mango salsa. We watched as Chef Arini prepares our main course on the grill. She tells us that she simply marinates them with fresh herbs and a little olive oil as well as Maldon salt before putting them on the grill. The lamb cutlets are juicy and tender, and cooked to perfection - we especially love the smoky flavour on the crust. The king prawn was very fresh and succulent. It is served with a side of organic greens and potato chips, a nice change from the usual fries or mashed potatoes.

Desserts at Grill 582 are creations of Chef Arini and the New York cheesecake (RM15) comes highly recommended.  I love the presentation, very arty and unique and it tasted great too. Hubby went for the oven baked apple pie (RM15) served with a vanilla bean ice cream, which he gave a big thumbs up.

We also enjoyed some pre-dinner cocktails at Punch Bar & Lounge. Our choice of sundowners are the Long Island Ice Tea (RM35) and A Berry Good Cocktail (RM29) (lemongrass and basil infused vodka, black and red raspberry liquour with a lemon and lychee soda infusion). A nice place to chill and relax.
