PSA: Washing-Thon by Electrolux (1-4 November 2012)

This is a public service announcement (PSA) to create awareness of this upcoming charity event by Electrolux.

In support of the needy and less privileged, Electrolux Home Appliances Sdn Bhd is organising Washing-Thon (washing marathon) on 1- 4 November at Citta Mall. The idea is to collect donated clothes and continuously wash, dry and fold all donated clothes throughout the 4 days. All the clean clothes will then be given to Grace Community Services to be distributed to the needy. You can find out more about Grace Community Services through their website - http://www.gracecommunityservices.my/.

Electrolux is also looking for volunteers on 1 to 4 November to help to sort the clothes before washing (to sort the whites from the coloured) and also to fold the clothes once they're washed and dried. To register as a volunteer, please drop them an email at my.passion@electrolux.com or contact them at 7843 5885 or 7843 5981 from Mondays to Fridays, from 8.30am to 5.30pm. You can find out more about Washing-Thon here: www.bit.ly/washingthon.

Throughout 1 to 4 November, from 10am to 7pm, Electrolux Washing-thon will be a fun-filled event for everyone and a fun family day out featuring a variety of games for kids and adults, as well as a great initiative for active volunteerism to help the community. Event will be held at Citta Mall carpark, map here:

*If you have any unwanted clothes in good condition and would like to donate them, then please bring them along to the Washing-thon.

  2. What a great idea! I'm sure we all have clothes that we no longer need :)

  3. Thanks, I'll try to drop by. I have jeans and slacks that are in good condition, but I can't fit into them anymore, and I don't think I'll ever be able to again (argh!)
