The all-new Bubbalicious Brunch @ Prego, The Westin KL

The all-new, fabulous Bubbalicious brunch at Prego..

On 15 July 2012, The Westin KL's Italian restaurant Prego launched its new champagne brunch called Bubbalicious. Bubbalicious is a Westin-inpired branded brunch concept featured in over 5 different Westins throughout Asia Pacific. Served from 11.30am to 3.00pm, diners can choose to indulge in a mix of popular Italian items as well as new "molecular" bubble inspired dishes with free-flow juices, red and white wine, beer and G.H.Mumm Champagne.

Are you BUBBaLICIOUS ?

Prego

There was an amazing array of food, even with my hollow legs (hubby often jokes that this is how I manage to put away so much food), I didn't manage to try all the food that was available but what I did try was really good.

The cold antipasti was placed all along the bar and included salads, cold cuts and seafood as well as antipasto "bubbles" such as marinated mozzarella bubbles. I particularly enjoyed the egg filled with tuna mayo and capers, slipper lobsters, fresh king prawns, and freshly shucked oysters.

Fresh seafood.. loved it

Desserts are particularly fun- this is where you will find most of the bubbalicious inspired items such as a dessert bubble spoon wall, creme brulee with Cointreau bubbles, jelly bubbles, and a cute mango and yogurt "sunny side up on toast".

Boozy jelly bubbles (classic cocktail jelly bubbles)

Peanut butter cupcakes

More delectable cakes

Kids have a Bubbalicious time too..

With the new Bubbalicious brunch, a new kids club area is set up at the lower lobby to ensure that the little ones are entertained while mummy and daddy enjoy a leisurely meal. They will be manned by trained nannies. It was very nicely set-up, with Ikea play kitchens, rail track, video games, play houses along with a buffet selection for kids and there is even a make-your-own-milkshake station for the kids to get creative at. Kids below age of 5 eat for free, while children from age 6-12 years old will receive a 50% discount.

Hehe I think Baby C would feel right at home here..

Delicious desserts to tempt the kids

Play and eat at the same time!

There's even a clown to entertain 'em kids (he entertained me for a while first :P)

The hot food items are brought to your table hence you can just sit back and let the food come to you! The pizzas were as good as I remembered them, and I loved all the grilled items such as lamb chops, quail, sausages, mackarel as well as the roast lamb. A memorable dish that I had this afternoon was the parmesan custard with sardine toast... wish there were more toast for us to dip into the creamy parmesan custard!

  6. Wow another lovely spread! I like the innovative bubble tea in test tubes, beats drinking it from a cup with straw ha ha. I better head off for lunch, stomach growling after looking at your pictures :)Mich@Piece of Cake

    1. Actually they gave us straws for the bubble tea but it was easier to drink it straight from the test tubes! But it was a creative way of serving it... as it was from their Bubbalicious Laboratory!
