Sunday Brunch @ The Brasserie, The St Regis Hotel KL

Sundays in KL just got a whole lot better, with the launch of the Sunday Brunch at the city's swankiest hotel, The St Regis Kuala Lumpur.  Sunday Brunch is now served at The Brasserie, a sumptuous dining space with sophisticated interior design (Hubby loves their revolving dining chairs, which he thinks is genius). The Brasserie's pressed tin ceilings pay homage to Kuala Lumpur's rich origins as a tin mining state.

Inspired by the French daily markets, offerings here will feature French-Mediterranean fare,  placing emphasis on quality imported produce. Indulge in a selection of fresh seafood, tasty cold cuts, Sunday roasts, an expansive top quality cheese selection and an array of sweet treats. Guests can opt to top up with the free-flow champagne / wine / cocktail option.

Whet your appetite with the freshest seafood on ice - choose from freshly shucked Fine de Claire oysters, Royal Alaskan king crab, clams, cockles and king prawns. I love the king crab which was super fresh and sweet!







There are also smoked salmon, as well as two types of cured salmon - gravlax and one other with grain mustard and tarragon.




A great selection of tasty cold cuts such as smoked beef pastrami, smoked French duck breast, and beef bresaola.


And one of my favorite appetizers - the foie gras terrine.


Chef's signature Heirloom tomato and creamy burrata is another must-try dish


The carving station will feature a Black Angus rib eye roast, as well as a poultry and fish dish on rotation.





Indulge in free flow alcoholic beverages such as Veuve Clicquot or Cote du Rhone red and white wines as well as St Regis KL's signature Asam Boi Mary cocktail.





Other than the fantastic buffet spread, a selection of dishes are prepared a la minute upon request to ensure food is served to you at its optimum. Guests can expect specials such as linguine served with Black Angus bolognaise, asparagus risotto, eggs Florentine, and waffle served with foie gras terrine and mango chutney.

An impressive selection of imported cheese awaits you, from tangy Vacherin Mont d’Or to the piquant Roquefort AOP Papillon and creamy camembert. 






End your meal with an amazing spread of sweets such as raspberry cheesecake, homemade cinnamon churros, magnum fudge brownies, lemon meringue shooters and assorted macarons.
