Ichiban Boshi, Pavilion KL

Last weekend, we were at Pavilion KL to pick up some Line soft toys we won from a giveaway. After that, we decided to have lunch in the mall before heading home. Decided to try Ichiban Boshi since I was craving for Japanese food (again!).

The restaurant is located on the 1st Floor; it is pretty spacious and brightly lit. You can order from the extensive a la carte menu, or choose from the conveyor belt sushi.

Hubby ordered the Sizzling Black Pepper Yakiniku Gozen (RM39.90), which comes with sizzling black pepper beef, salmon sashimi, chawanmushi, appetizer, miso soup, rice and fruit. After seeing my order, I concluded that Hubby's set meal is good value for money. The sizzling beef was pretty tasty and came in quite a big portion. Even his salmon sashimi came in 4 thick slices.

I had the salmon avocado ikura don (RM26.90) which also came with a bowl of miso soup. I was quite disappointed that they only served 4 very thinly sliced sashimi with this. They were quite generous with the avocado though. Overall, still a nice dish as sashimi was fresh. It was also nice to see a whole tub of pickled ginger at each table, most Japanese restaurants only provide it upon request these days.

Price: Total bill RM77.89
