Cedar on 15, Impiana KLCC Hotel, KL

One of the first hotels we visited in KL when we moved back to Malaysia was Impiana KLCC Hotel. However, this is our first time dining at Cedar on 15, the hotel's rooftop restaurant serving an eclectic mix of Western dishes.

The restaurant which is located on the 15th Floor boasts a fantastic view of the Twin Towers, making this the perfect venue for a celebratory or romantic dinner, or simply an unforgettable meal with friends and families.


For lunch, they offer a business set lunch from Monday to Friday - it is priced at RM29.90 nett for 2 courses with coffee, or RM39.90 nett with 3-courses with coffee. I will have to check it out another day, as this time we were here to sample their lunch a la carte menu. For dinner, they offer a more extensive menu than lunch time. All the dishes here are paired with premium VOM FASS oils, vinegar or liquors.

For appetizers, we ordered the traditional Caesar salad (RM38) served with Vom Fass lemon olive oil. The salad consists of beef bacon bits, quail's egg, baguette crostini and shaved Parmesan.


We also had the Cream of Topin Ambour (RM38) served with truffle oil. Topin ambour is the French word for Jerusalem artichoke. Despite it being a very hot afternoon, we enjoyed this immensely - velvety smooth and so flavorful. The truffle oil really enhances the taste, be generous with the truffle oil - you will not regret it.




For mains, the menu features pastas, wood stone oven pizzas, fish and seafood , steak from the grill, as well as poultry and beef ribs from the oven. I went for the pumpkin seed crusted black cod (RM78) which was beautifully cooked and presented. The fish was fresh and came off in flakes and served with an organic hazelnut oil, mushroom tomato chutney, fennel mousse and sugar snap peas.



Hubby aka the steak lover went for the recommended Wagyu ribeye marbling score 6 (RM53/100g), a thin cut grilled and served with sauce of your choice and one side dish (Hubby chose creamy spinach). The tender and juicy steak was nicely presented on a Himalayan rock salt block. Delish!




And finally for desserts, we shared the homemade vanilla bean marshmallow (RM32) - a sinful chocolate cake topped with ganache and a fluffy torched marshmallow, with honey ice cream, crumbs and strawberries on the side. You can add some chocolate liquor sauce to your dessert if you like.
