Pan Mee @ Jojo Little Kitchen, Cheras, KL

Pan mee is definitely one of our favorite Malaysian foods. There are various restaurants which we go to for pan mee and one of them is Jojo Little Kitchen. We usually frequent the Bandar Mahkota Cheras branch, which has recently moved location a newer shop lot (around the same area still).

Hubby always goes for the lat jiu pan mee (RM7.80) whereas I would go for either the century egg dumpling pan mee (RM8.80) or loh pan mee. For pan mee, you will get a choice of either thin or thick noodles - we prefer the thin noodles here. If the kids are dining with us, then we will also order a bowl of fish ball soup for them.

For the dry version, the noodles are tossed in a sweet-salty dark soy sauce. You can add on your own chilli flakes if you like them spicy!

Yum! I love these century egg dumplings

Loh pan mee (remember to add in lots of vinegar for the sour kick!). I don't usually eat the pork mince that comes with this as I find it a little on the sweet side.

Fishballs for the kids

A must-have here for us is the deep fried wan tans (RM6 for 8 pcs)... fried to crispy perfection!

Overall, I really like the noodles here. They can be quite heavy handed with the salt so if you prefer your soups to be less salty, please let your server know.

  2. I love pan mee, the dry version not the soupy one. Don't think I would go for the lor mee version either. Ooooo....century egg in the dumpling? Hidden treasure!!!
