Thai Fusion @ Fa-Ying by Rama V, Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya

During one of the school holidays, we took Baby C to Paradigm Mall for some shopping and fun. We stopped by Fa-Ying by Rama V for lunch. Fa-Ying is a Thai fusion restaurant / tapas bar operated by the same people from Rama V, since we had several enjoyable meals at the latter, we decided to try the food as well. The set-up is quite casual and relaxed and since it was a cooling day, we sat outside for some al fresco dining.

Princess Fa-Ying is the sister of King Rama V, and I am here today with my princess C ;)

Ribena Lychee (RM13) - refreshing

Supposed to be "our" drink but ended up being hers :P

Since it was a public holiday, the set lunch wasn't available so we ordered from the a la carte menu. Hubby had the Thai Beef Sandwich in Nam Tok style (RM22) which he enjoyed very much. The beef was tender and  appetizing with a slight spicy kick. It came with a side salad and fries. I have heard that their roasted duck sandwich is good, so will probably come back to try that at a later time.

I had the roasted duck curry with lychee (RM20), had this a couple of times at Rama V before and it was really good. The one here at Fa-Ying certainly lived up to my expectations, it was served with rice (topped with crispy basil) and a side salad. The curry is quite mild so Baby C got to enjoy this with me.

Hubby sneakily took this photo of me and my new "blogging assistant". ;)

After lunch, we did some more shopping before heading to Cielo Dolci for the best gelato in town. This time we tried the barley lime flavour and salted caramel which we tried before.. still as good as ever!

My happy princess :)

    1. The roast duck curry is actually a classic Thai recipe, but the beef sandwich is a bit fusion. Very good though.
